Boiler Level Gauges

Color-Port gages provide continuous indication of boiler water levels as required by the ASME Boiler and Pressure Code. Under PG-60, the Code states: PG-60.1, PG-60.1.1, PG-60.1.1.

  • Two Basic Designs - For boiler systems to 1800 psi [124 bar] low pressure gauges have nipple ends for use with stuffing box valves. For boiler systems to 3000 psi [207 bar] high pressure gauges have flanged ends for use with Welbloc® valves.
  • Glasses are accurately molded and tempered to Yarway specifications. The assembly of glass, mica and gasket is registered precisely in the gasket groove in the body.
  • Mica - High quality for protecting the inner surface of each glass from the erosive action of steam, water and alkalis.
  • Gaskets - Gauges use a specially-molded flexible graphite sealing gasket between mica and gauge body, ensuring a tight seal.

Remote Level Indication

Yarway manufacturers a reliable, cost effective means of sensing water in various applications including remote level indication and sensing of high temperature/ high pressure water.

These probes can be mounted directly to the pressure vessel or column. The probes are brazed welded stainless steel HP and IP electrode with zirconia insulator (3000 psig @ saturation, up to 1000°F [207 barg @ saturation, up to 538°C]) or threaded stainless steel LP electrode with Teflon® insulator (850 psig @ 525°F [58 barg @ 274°C]). Based on the conductivity probe technology now widely accepted in the industry, it was specially designed to meet increasing demand for a reliable, cost effective means of sensing water in various applications.

The Yarway Series 1004 through 3000 single probe and above, alarm system represents the latest advancement in electronic level indication. Our electronics have upgraded internal diagnostics for monitor clock faults, power supply faults and level fault. Based on the conductivity probe technology now widely accepted in the industry, it was specially designed to meet increasing demand for a reliable, cost effective means of sensing water in various applications.

Steam/Water Flat Glass Gages

For dynamic thermal environments.

Designed to expand and contract during dynamic thermal conditions, these steam/water gages have extraheavy construction incorporating a wide chamber. Thermally induced gage stresses are absorbed by the linear expansion within the stuffing box or the expansion loop. TSL stuffing box or TSL-F flanged configurations can be used for steam/water service at or below 650 psig [4480 kPa]. TSM stuffing box or TSM-F flanged configurations can be used at or below 1500 psig [10340 kPa] steam/water service. Mica shields and Belleville washers are standard to improve the long term sealing of the gage. All materials conform to ASME/ASTM specifications. The following gagecocks are suggested for use with steam/water gages: Model 730 OS&Y- for Model TSL and TSM gage having flanged gage connections; Model 780 OS&Y- for Model TSL and TSM gage having stuffing box connections.

The Yarway Series 2000 twelve probe alarm system represents the latest advancement in electronic level indication. Based on the conductivity probe technology now widely accepted in the industry, it was specially designed to meet increasing demand for a reliable, cost effective means of sensing water in various applications. The probes can be mounted directly to the pressure vessel or column.

Features & Benefits:

  • Probes are brazed stainless steel HP and IP electrode with zirconia insulator (3000 psig @ saturation, up to 1000°F [207 barg @ saturation, up to 538°C]).
  • Threaded stainless steel LP electrode with PTFE (Teflon®) insulator (850 psig @ 525°F [58 barg @ 274°C]).
  • Developed for basic detection, display and switching.
  • Three major components: the column with probes, the detection and verification (D&V) unit and the remote display. The number of probes can be selected and spaced to indicate liquid level through a desired range. The column is custom manufactured to provide the most accurate indication for any application. Independent detection circuitry for each probe allows selecting relay output for alarms or trips. Green indication is standard on the printed circuit board within the Type 4X/IP66 D&V enclosure. Bright red and green indicator for the control room or locally mounted on the D&V enclosure door is optional.
